Pet Portrait: {Jersey}

It has been a while since I have done a mini session with our pup, Jersey.  I wanted to play with some techniques and thought why not.

I have been wanting to do this for a while but still needed to work on my technique some, but this one was done freelensing.  I used my 50 f1.8 for it and with the flare I thought it came out perfect.  Hard to focus and takes some steady hands, but it is such a great method.

The sun was setting so I went with a natural shot, no flash, just standard wide angle laying in the grass.

Then I dropped my exposure and when to a high speed sync shot.  When in doubt and you have a pet, use them as a model, you will be glad you have the shots of them!
