A Simple Stroll: {Chicago}!

A little change of pace from a single Chicago photo, this one is actually one of my evening walks through the city.  I appreciate downtown more now then when we lived in the city.  Most likely since I do not get the chance to walk around taking photos several times a week.  I love where we live, I love our house, but for photography, the city is it for me.  So on a typical "night out" in the city, I will generally process 4 to 5 shots that get posted to the various social outlets.  I take a lot more than that, and I shoot a lot more than the average city shot you see.  Now I am not a huge street shooter, but I take those shots while I am around, especially while I wait for the sun to drop.

I generally carry two, maybe three lenses with me on these walks, usually my 17-35mm f2.8, and my go-to nifty-fifty.  One flash, triggers and my tripod.   Quick and easy.   These were all processed with the VSCO plugins for Lightroom, several different film variations.  Check out the VSCO Cam for Android while your at it, glad they finally ported it over.  My VSCO grid is here: cffotog.vsco.co.  The last shot I posted an HDR around before, this is processed differently, single exposure.

Lastly, thinking it might be time to do some new shots of myself for websites/social media info, if there are any other Chicago photogs who would like to trade, I do some for you and vice versa let me know.  Be good to get out and grab some coffee and do some portrait shooting even in the cold ;-).  Or if anyone wants a few free shots, looking to do some portraits as a personal project, contact me.

Now on to the shots!
